AI-Generated Baby Accusations Cause Mom of Giant Baby to Prove Her Photos Are Real

AI-generated baby accusations surfaced when the mother of an unusually large baby was accused of using AI photos and not real images.

A mom went viral after posting photos of her unusually large baby, but instead of getting cute comments, people started accusing her of using AI to fake the pictures. Welcome to 2025, where your actual kid looks so big that strangers think you photoshopped him. The mom had to come out and defend herself, swearing up and down that the photos are real and her baby really is that chunky. This whole situation shows how weird things have gotten online.

That baby can’t be real; but he is

We’re at the point where people see a photo of a bigger-than-average infant and immediately assume it’s computer-generated instead of, you know, just a big baby. Some babies grow faster than others. Some kids are in the 100th percentile for weight. That’s just genetics and biology. But now parents have to deal with accusations that their children don’t exist or that they’re using AI filters. The comments ranged from people demanding proof to others claiming the proportions looked fake.

The right side of the large baby controversy

A few supportive folks jumped in to say they had large babies too and shared their own stories. The whole thing got out of hand fast, with the post racking up thousands of comments debating whether a baby could actually be that size. Despite AI-generated baby accusations, there are some who have had large children and dealt with the blowback that comes with huge baby photos. This mom defends her real baby and thankfully has gotten some support from others who have unusually large children as well.

Aren’t there easy ways to avoid AI-generated baby accusations?

Despite the giant baby going viral, and the mother continually proving that her child is real by simply picking him up and showing him off while online, there are easier ways to avoid the need to prove the baby photos are not AI. Some parents simply don’t share or present their children in any online format until later in life. Many of these parents do so out of fear of what people online will say about their children and others do it to protect their children, and their images from becoming part of scams and schemes for nefarious activities. You might think having an oversized infant would be a good reason not to share pictures online, but the mother, Chloe Sutton, is obviously proud of her child and of being a mother. She certainly has a right to share him with the world if she chooses to.

A large digital audience to show

The AI-generated baby accusations aren’t too surprising when you consider that Sutton has a digital audience of more than 8.1 million people. Her son is 19 months old and already weighs in at 33 pounds. Sutton, 25, seems petite and tiny compared to her son, especially when she picks him up. She is actually 5-foot-6-inches tall herself, which is by no means short in terms of female height, but she isn’t tall either.

A tall father, but the baby is still huge

Another proof that the child is real and not digitally created was done by having the father pick up the child. Sutton’s husband is 6-foot-2-inches tall and a good-sized person, but even next to him, the baby still seems huge. It’s possible this child could be a future NFL lineman or, since he’s from Australia, a rugby champion. Of course, he could simply be a large kid, or his growth might slow down. Children grow at different rates and don’t always continue exponential growth later in life.

Many parents have large babies, and those babies eventually slow down and become “normal-sized” compared to others their same age. Similarly, some people have large children, and they continue to grow large and end up being some of the tallest and biggest people on the planet. Genetics is certainly part of what causes some people to be taller than others, but you never know just how big your children will be.

For those who choose to be cruel and toss about AI-generated baby accusations that were unkind and not simply curious, those accusations are uncalled for. Some children start out small and grow quickly, and then slow down. There’s no need for accusations that any parent is offering an AI-generated baby to the internet; although in today’s world, it’s not outrageous to consider that such a thing could happen.
